The best choice for your child: In favor or against breastfeeding.
A baby needs to be properly fed for his or her to grow well. For the first few months of his life, a baby is fed exclusively with milk. While some mothers swear by breastfeeding, others don't even consider it as an option. If you are pregnant or just had a baby, and you have questions about the impact of breastfeeding on your baby, we can help you by answering some of these questions.
Why breastfeed?
All parents want the best for their kids, and parenting can easily become really hard as you want to make the best choices for your kids. Declared as the best food for the good growth of the newborn, breast milk has been known to contain essential nutrients for the baby such as proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. It is so complete that you won't need to combine it with anything else until about 6 months of age, in addition to its nutritional function, breast milk contains antibodies that the baby may need to fight against some diseases such as diarrhea and certain infections. Breastfeeding is also good for the baby's physical and mental health as well as for the mother. Some mothers take advantage of these moments to build a special bond with their children by talking to them, whispering sweet things, and showing them their unconditional love. So many positive points.
I don't want to breastfeed!
Although breastfeeding has many advantages, some women for personal reasons (health reasons or lack of time) do not wish to breastfeed, which is perfectly normal. Many alternatives exist today to allow women who do not wish to or cannot breastfeed to be able to feed their child properly, we are obviously talking about the good old bottle. In addition to allowing the father to participate actively, it allows the mother who does not wish to breastfeed to not do so by constraint. Breastfeeding is undoubtedly a wonderful way to create a bond with a baby, but it is certainly not the only one.
